2011年12月4日 星期日《星矢》動畫總監病逝【明報】日本《讀賣新聞》報道，日本著名動畫製作總監荒木伸吾，上周因癌症病逝，享年72歲。荒木伸吾1939年生於名古屋市，25歲加入動畫製作公司，1965年因參與製作漫畫家手塚治虫作品《小白獅》的動畫在行內嶄露頭角，並在1970年首次擔任監督《鐵拳浪子》而大獲好評。他曾與姬野美智合作，把多部著名漫畫改編成動畫，同時兼任監督，包括東映動畫的《聖鬥士星矢》、《鬼太郎》、《金田一少年之事件簿》等。由於荒木擅長設計唯美的人物造型，因此其作品深受女性觀眾歡迎。最後一套由荒木負責監督的動畫是《聖鬥士星矢冥界篇》，在2005年外界已傳出荒木健康轉差，但他仍堅持完成動畫角色設計及監督工作。

2011年11月20日 星期日以刀代筆 深刻人間【明報】「深刻人間」是黃新波藝術歷程展覽的名字，最近在沙田香港文化博物館展出，題目改得貼切有深意。因為版畫藝術的其中一個使命，就是以雕刻刀代筆，刻出風格強烈的作品，藉以透出社會和人文關壞。這些關懷有時沉重，有時殘酷，有時向上……人間從來不是甜蜜唯美的，這是歷史使然。黃新波可能屬於上一代，但當下，仍有傳承者繼續賣力刻劃印畫，細看花苑的作品，可見兩代的對話。無論是中國或香港，之前和後，人間原來一直深刻。魯迅帶入中國 版畫起革命中國的印刷歷史源遠流長，早於唐代已出現雕版印刷，在活字印刷術出現之前，一直沿用此技術製作印刷品。它的原理是將版面不需要的地方挖刻掉，把版面上顏色，複製在另一材料的表面上，而木刻就是以木作製版材料。此技術最初用來傳播佛教，但它的應用漸漸更貼近民間生活，如早期的紙幣、書籍的插畫或民間年畫等，也沿用了木刻。可惜的是，

2011年7月8日336小時浪蕩芬蘭森林湖國，謐靜之地【明報】國境之南，謐靜之地。在芬蘭南部的336小時，就如活在另一個世界。在公路上，放眼連綿的草原樹林，樹林是看不見盡頭的，土地無垠，杳無人煙；在巴士上，芬蘭人很少說話，說時最多低聲耳語，在120分鐘車程裏，我窺見這國度的一隅，什麼叫「寂靜中的幸福」（Pure Stillness )、與大自然共生的謙卑態度，這份生活哲學是歷日曠久累積植根在他們心中。在生活的各個層面上，大自然並非「被剝奪」及「開發」的代名詞，而是不經意地呈現於這個森林湖國的文化裏。這336小時，毋須跟秒針比賽，徹底享受最簡樸的生活、體驗最原始的流動空間。芬蘭森林，Finnish Woods在芬蘭行十步見一樹，如此形容樹木之多，絕對沒半點誇張。尤其在遠離大城市的舊城小鎮鮑渥（Porvoo），總是見樹多過見人，芬蘭人仰賴大自然而活，一年九個月活在「黑暗」中，難得遇見太陽，
